Mother’s Day is just around the corner and this mom wants something a little different. I’m constantly connected, taking and sharing pictures, having an Internet-based business, and always looking for ways to simplify my life. Electronics are probably the more non-traditional gift for Mother’s Day, but is something completely necessary for the millennial mom.Western Digital, a personal favorite of mine, knows what this mom wants!
Let me tell you a little backstory about my relationship with WD electronics. After I had my first daughter, I was on a search for the best storage device for pictures of my precious daughter. I was afraid of losing each and every first memory with her and didn’t trust a single device, including my own computer. My brother, who worked for a large electronic corporation at the time, told me WD was always the way to go. With reliable storage devices that had a long standing reputation among techies. I purchased my first WD MyBook 6 years ago and haven’t looked back since.
A lot has changed in 6 years. After years of my non-techie husband telling me that cloud storage is the way to go, I’ve finally given in. He’s right. I need to be able to access files from various devices and cloud storage is the way to go. I love that WD has an option to have your own cloud storage device, right in your home with the WD MyCloud. I am able to access and control my files, and not have to worry about a third party receiving my information. The best part? I can backup all my devices to this one central location and not have to worry about fussing with wires each time. We now have our computers, tablets, and iPhones synced to our WD MyCloud device, which lives in our TV console, so we have access to all our files anytime from anywhere.
You can find out more by visiting WD Brand. They have various storage devices and options for all your needs!

We were just talking talking about needing something like this for all our photos and music. Thanks for posting this so I can at least sound like I know what I’m talking about!

This would make a great gift for my husband for Father’s Day actually. He is the “techie” person in the house. Always need space for the pictures we are downloading!
Thanks!

This sounds like something I need to look into. My dad passed away 2 years ago, and I want to scan and save pictures of us. This sounds way more useful than traditional methods.
