Being a mother is something I had always envisioned for myself. Even in my earliest years of elementary school, while all the other kids made their parents proud with ambitions of being doctors and lawyers, I would simply state, “I want to be a mommy when I grow up.” It was as simple as that. Sure, I wanted a career, but not as much as I wanted a handful of babies around me like little ducklings. Now that I am a mother of 3, I know this is exactly where I wanted to be all those years. Finding out I was pregnant each time was in itself magical, exhilarating, nerve-wracking, and scary.
If there’s something I learned after having 3 babies it’s that not all home pregnancy tests are created the same. It started with my first baby- I had all the classic symptoms of pregnancy and quite a few negative tests. This could all be chalked up to improper timing and being too early to test. With my second baby, I had read that First Response Early Result Tests were able to detect the smallest amount of pregnancy hormones as compared to other competitors. When I was ready to test with my second baby, I received a positive result as soon as I thought I was pregnant. By baby #3, I skimped and got a cheaper store-brand test because I thought for sure I knew I was pregnant and it would show up quick. I was wrong. The store brand gave me a negative response while First Response Early Result gave me that positive response that same day. I KNEW I was pregnant, and a store brand test couldn’t even confirm it!
I know I may have been a little impatient at times when waiting for a pregnancy confirmation, but that’s because I wanted to make sure I was on the right track from the very beginning. I try to stick with my prenatals even when I’m not pregnant or nursing, but once that positive result shows up, everything changes. No matter how many kids I’ve had, that accurate result is so important each and every time.
First Response is still the brand I trust and recommend to my friends and family when they are trying to conceive. The accuracy and early testing period make it a top choice, and now First Response has redesigned their test stick with the new “Comfort Sure Design” with a longer handle, wider tip, curved design, and easy to read results. You can find First Response pregnancy tests at Walgreens, CVS, and other drugstores.

A good and accurate pregnancy test kit is the first thing to buy when trying to conceive. Detecting pregnancy at the earliest stages can ease pressure and makes things more safe. Good recommendation.
