How do you prepare your child for back to school? My little one may be attending her first year of pre-k this upcoming September. I realize I should have had a more definitive answer considering it is August and school starts in less than a month! I guess I’m not sure if I’m ready to send her yet or not, she is only turning 3 so it is not mandatory for her to attend school, I just though the social aspect of it would be great for her.
This back to school season, The Boys and Girls Club of America has partnered with Disney for their latest Tools for Back to School campaign. The great thing about this campaign is YOU can get in on the action! They have fun pop-quiz style games at BGCA where the are donating school supplies for every correct answer you get! I think this is a great way to give back to the community and you don’t even have to spend a dime! You can also encourage your kids to play along with you.
BGCA has also teamed up with jcpenney where you can ’round up’ your purchases to earn supplies for schools. To find our more information, visit jcpenney. This promotion is only good for the month of August, so be sure to check it out soon! I think these are very good initiatives where you can teach your children about giving back, and you don’t even have to spend a dime! With so many budget cuts each year, it is important to help out schools that need it most. By helping them out, we are giving our kids the brightest future. It’s so easy to help out, so be sure to spread the word! Every little bit counts!
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Boys and Girls Club. I received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate

What a great idea. I also like the “round up” thing with Jcpenny, you don’t really notice it. Our company does a backpack drive so i usually just do that but will keep these in mind also.
