I rarely let my toddler watch television channels that have commercials because then I know every 2 minutes I will hear “I want that” and “I want that too!” I’m sure it is payback for what I put my mom through, but I usually respond with “okay” and we move on. I know one day she might actually argue with me, but for now it works!
If you have had a chance to see the commercials for Happy Nappers, then you know exactly why a child would want one. Happy Nappers are a pillow, or rather a pet with their house attached to them. Ring the bell, turn the house inside out, and you have yourself a unicorn, or a dog, maybe even a penguin! The concept itself is really cute and as a parent I can see why my toddler get’s excited each time she sees her Happy Napper Unicorn. Each time her unicorn is placed back inside the caste that it is attached to, she rings the bell and sings the Happy Napper song. The she turns the house inside out and her furry friend appears!
We take a lot of car trips and her “you di corn” (unicorn) typically travels with us. She loves snuggling with in on long car rides, as she tends to get car sick a lot and needs to be comforted. I love Happy Nappers because they inspire creative play and have multiple uses. Being a reversible pillow means that there are no extra pieces and nothing to lose – definitely a plus in my book!
