My baby girl is on the move! At almost 7 months, she is attempting to crawl, trying to stand, and outgrowing her infant car seat, play mat, and simple toys. She’s on to more complex toys that are colorful and play music. When you are a new mom, you don’t realize how quickly your little one grows up and how fast they outgrow gear and toys. Wouldn’t it be nice to extend the use out of some of these infant items?
When I found out about Infantino’s Pop & Play last year, I thought it was ingenious and in line with everything I believe in when it comes to baby items. I know all too well how it feels to spend $200 on a car seat that my baby may not even use for a year. I also know that while babies may not be into colorful items and toys in the beginning, simple black, white, and red colors are appealing to them. So when I tested out the Pop & Play and saw that my baby could use it for a long time, I knew it was the toy for us.
The Pop & Play is the most customizable baby gym I have come across. It starts with the Pop & Swap Gym, which can sit on the included base for baby to look up at when they are immobile. Once baby is sitting, the Pop & Play can be rotate on the base in order to be at eye level for baby. On the go? Take the legs off and bring along the Pop & Swap gym with you to grandma’s house. Need a crib toy? The Pop & Play securely attaches to baby’s crib, for learning, discovering, and fun songs.
Once you have your Pop & Swap, which comes with everything you need to have a fun, stimulating experience for your baby, then you can decide which pieces you need and which you don’t. You can purchase the Infantino Pop & Play Activity mat. Having a girl and want everything pretty in pink? There are two pink sets which you can add on to the Pop & Swap Gym. Add-ons are the best part of the Pop & Play system! You see, by swapping out the pieces on the Pop & Swap, you can create an entirely new experience each time for baby. This is how Pop & Play grows with baby!
It’s very simple. You simple push the button, rotate and pop out the piece, and swap it for another. That’s it! It’s so easy to swap out pieces and make the infant gym appropriate for your baby’s stage of development. When I found that my baby girl was able to move the entire gym, while on it’s base, I decided it was time to take the legs off the gym so she wouldn’t get hurt. I leave the Pop & Swap in her playpen for her to play with, and when she is in the crib, I attach the Pop & Swap securely. She loves playing with the fun characters and listening to the music while the lights flash. I think this is her favorite toy because it never gets old, and she has been using it for almost 7 months now! That’s a whole lot of use out of an infant toy if you ask me! To be totally honest, my 3 year old loves the Pop & Play too, and I often find her walking off with pieces she loves to play with.

I left the mirror on for her because I think that is her favorite part of the Pop & Swap. I often catch her trying to kiss the baby in the mirror. Other pieces are changed often to keep things interesting and fresh for her. Speaking of fresh, have you checked out the Fresh Squeezed line from Infantino? That is another one of their ingenius product lines!
You can find the Infantino Pop & Swap at Babies R Us and Toys R Us.
