My girlie girl who walks around with stuffed animals all day long had an odd request recently. We set up a reward chart for staying in her bed at night, and after she has accumulated a certain amount of stars, she is allowed to get a present. I asked her what present she would like and her response: “a train set.” Now, I don’t really don’t have any gender constraints when it comes to toys and I don’t think there is anything wrong with a little girl that wants to play with trains. I agreed and looked into the options for train sets.
I came across the Magic Cabin 38 piece Road and Rail Deluxe set and thought this would be perfect for my toddler. It had just the right amount of pieces, was small enough to set up in one location of the house, but large enough that she could enjoy playing with it. I love the wooden structure of the set – it reminds me of an old fashioned train set.
Not only does the set include a train with train tracks, but there is also a short stretch of “highway” with an included car. This makes for some very interesting creative play time with my hubby and daughter! The set includes a total of 38 pieces, a crossing track, station, bridge, train, car, traffic sign, traffic lights, trees, and two people. I think this is a great starter train set for the youngest conductors!
