Picture this- you get up in the morning in a great mood ready to start the day. You get yourself ready before waking up your children, make sure bags are packed, lunch is ready, and breakfast is on the table. You wake up your school-aged child first, get her dressed, teeth brushed and ready to go, only to realize her favorite outfit doesn’t fit properly and she’s about to have a stage 3 meltdown. In the meantime your toddler wakes up with an awful cough and when you touch her forehead she’s burning up. She wants cuddles and mommy to make her feel better, preschooler wants to wear her favorite outfit, everyone is having a meltdown and mommy has to keep everyone happy.
This isn’t a daily thing for us, but chaotic mornings are pretty normal around here, no matter how organized I try to be. Life happens, and things don’t always go as planned. I have been able to talk myself out of stressful moments many times, but sometimes I need a few minutes to sort myself and assess the situation before I make my next move. We all deal with stress in various forms, and of course some are more severe than others. If I get frustrated and lose control while I’m in the moment and beg my kids to understand they need to work with me, nothing will ever get done because, well, kids are selfish by nature. They don’t have the cognitive ability to think beyond themselves until a certain age and something insignificant to an adult may be Earth-shattering for younger children.
So, while I soothe my toddler and help my preschooler find the perfect outfit that’s “even better” than the one she picked before, I’m planning my day and hoping I can make the pediatrician, figure out what’s for dinner, not be late for pick-up, and keep everyone happy, including myself.

I sure can relate with you here. I am a single dad raising all 5 of my kids and the stress levels can build fast. I have one today going to the doctors with a sore throat, after I get the others off to school. Never ends.

We have tons of mornings like this, and it seems to rotate between the kids once something happens to one, it skips to the next, seems like I am constantly wiping my head (chaos). I love the all natural products too, they are my first choice, wonder if these work.
