Indoor Weekend Adventures with Mini Babybel Cheeses

It’s COLD out there! NY went from spring 60 degree weather for the holidays to 13 degrees when it was time to return to school again. The prospect of a shorter winner since we were spared a cold November and December are the thoughts that get me through these colder days. On winter weekends, my family is happy to stay indoors with the heat on, comfortable clothes (mittens and scarves aren’t invited) spending time together. I let the girls alternate turns when choosing our family activity. My oldest loves to play video games and board games, while her little sister prefers movie night while snuggling on the couch.

Both my girls can agree on one thing- when it comes to mess during family time, they love a variety spread across the kitchen table. This started when I was looking to empty the fridge and freezer and made a little of everything, hoping they would find something they would eat. Little did I know at the time this would turn into a weekend tradition and something they look forward to.
