My toddler loves to pretend that our living room is a beach and we are having a picnic when it is time for dinner. It gets her to eat, and encourages her imagination, so we all play along. A few weeks ago I purchased a large picnic mat because I am planning many trips to Central Park for picnics this summer. Our first picnic is scheduled for the first week in July, and I am already wondering what types of foods I would bring along with us on a picnic.
After a lot of consideration, I figured sandwiches are probably the easiest and no-so-messy options we have. That’s the easy part! I know that a picnic could easily turn into an all day trip at the park, so snacks are a must! My toddler is already a fan of Earth’s Best Pop Snax and Letter of the Day cookies, so I usually fill up a ziplock bag when we take car trips to make it easier for her to eat them. She has dropped the containers too many times to count resulting in spilling and lots of crying afterwards, so I’ve learned my lesson.
Now Earth’s Best has convenient single-serve bags of my toddler’s favorite snacks! This makes it so much easier to pack, and leave a few in the car for those just in case days! Did you know that June 18th is National Picnic Day? What are you planning to bring with you if you go on a picnic? So far this is on my list:
- Picnic Blanket
- Sandwiches
- Snacks
- Drinks
- Wipes
- Sunscreen
- Hats
