Last year we were celebrating the release of Luigi’s Mansion for Nintendo 3Ds, and I’m so excited to share that Luigi has made it to the big screen! Now you can get Luigi’s Mansion 3 for the Nintendo Switch! The game was released on October 31, 2019, which is quite fitting for the theme of the game.

When I open a new Nintendo Switch game, I usually do it on a weekend evening after the kids go to bed. The reason for this is a) I like my me-time and playing idle video games relaxes me, and b) my kids are controller hogs. Especially my little guy! He’s just 4 years old and he plays games like Mario Odyssey, MarioKart, and now he’s taken over Luigi’s Mansion 3. I watch him in awe, wondering how little fingers and a young mind can be coordinated enough to maneuver through boards and complete tasks. He still needs help beating the bad guys and during menus where there is dialog, but that’s what makes playing the Nintendo Switch fun and a family activity.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 for Nintendo Switch is a little different than Luigi’s Mansion for Nintendo 3DS. I personally find the gameplay just a little more difficult for Nintendo Switch, but a little challenge is always good. Luigi is thrust into a mansion where all of his friends are now frozen in paintings around the mansion. Luigi has to find a way to free his friends and brother, without ending up framed himself. Luigi is a bit cowardly, as he shakes every time a soft wind blows- but with the right person behind the controller, Luigi is able to suck up ghosts and other things with his Poltergust G-00 which is now equipped to do so much more than when he was on the Nintendo 3DS. Somewhere along the way, his mentor, Professor E.Gadd supplies him with Gooigi- who is a slimy version of the green character himself! Gooigi helps get into tough spots, aids in sucking up big characters, and can tag team with Luigi.

Each floor is a puzzle to be unlocked, and there are options for multiplayer in Luigi’s Mansion 3. You can get you copy of Luigi’s Mansion 3 just in time for the holiday season by visiting Amazon and Target. I have a feeling Luigi’s Mansion 3 is going to be a big hit this year!
