Do you make your own baby food? I’ve been making my own baby food since my oldest daughter started solids. People use to think I was crazy – working full time as a teacher, taking night classes, and still managing to make my baby homemade food. Many times people would ask why I didn’t just choose the easy way and just buy jarred food – it’s all the same, right?
Well, no, it’s not. There are added ingredients such as citric acid and preservatives in some baby foods that I wanted to avoid. Plus, fresh food tastes better! Once a week I would head over to my local Whole Foods market and pick up fresh, organic ingredients to make the best possible baby food. I would clean, steam, mash, and freeze foods in ice cube trays and take them out as needed. My system worked fine, but I found myself annoyed at the mess I would make, the amount of dishes I needed to clean, and the storage issues.
I was already a fan of the Magic Bullet for smoothies, and when I saw the Baby Bullet being advertised, I thought it was genius. I loved the idea of the date dial cups that would tell me when the food was made, and also the proper-portioned size which was great for on the go portability and storage. I received the Baby Bullet feeding system for review and love that it comes with so many pieces that work well with baby food making.
The batch bowl is great when making a larger portion of food, like if you are making enough meals for a few days’ worth of lunches. 6 date dial cups are great for two days of breakfast/lunch/dinner. Two blade options offer you a choice of milling your own grains or mashing up baby’s first foods. The Baby Bullet has everything you need to get started on making your own baby food. You will know exactly what baby is eating and giving them the best possible nutrition!

I am currently pregnant and I am following a clean healthy lifestyle I think this would be the best tool to help me continue this same healthy way of eating for my little one whenever he or she starts eating solids. I have an older son that at each doctor appointment the doctor keeps telling me his BMI is too high. He doesn’t look overweight and we are really active so I can’t help but think it gas to be the unhealthy preservatives that are found in foods that are contributing to this. I have changed his eating habits but I am sure this could have all been prevented had I started clean eating with him from the beginning. The baby bullet would help so much!
