What mom doesn’t want to unwind at the end of the day? I, for one, know all about wanting to have a minute to myself to relax (not that I have actually experienced it, but the thought is nice! In a perfect world, dinner would be on the table at 5, the kids would be bathed by 7 and in bed by 8. I would get two hours before my own bed time to relax and maybe sip on a glass of wine or a yummy cocktail. This isn’t a perfect world, and my toddler’s bed time just so happens to be later than my own. So, this mama doesn’t get a break!
My first experience with Frangelico liquer was in a drink called The Chocolate Cake shot. I’m not into sweet cocktails or shots, but this was one yummy after dinner treat. It was best served as an apertif or a shot because it is very sweet and can be heavy on the stomach. Other recipes for tasty cocktails featuring Frangelico are listed below! If you try them out, be sure to come back and tell me how they turned out!
This Mother’s Day, why not give mom a bottle of Frangelico and tell her to take a time out. She will enjoy the sweet hazelnut flavor of this yummy liquor and can even add it to some recipes! Frangelico would be a nice touch to chocolate truffles or chocolate cake! It is so versatile! You can find Frangelico at your local liquor shop.
