My little girl will be turning 2 in a few days and I just can’t believe how quickly time passes. Just 2 years ago she was a helpless being and now she is a little girl with a lot of power. Her smile can make you do things you swore you would never do – like buy one of everything in aisle 10 of Toys R Us, or spend a ridiculous amount on an outfit she will only wear twice.
She is one of the most gentle and sensitive children I have ever met, but boy when you get her angry she will let an entire room of preschoolers and their mommies know that you crossed her. She doesn’t care that it is embarrassing or that maybe she is blowing it out of proportion. Nope. None of that matters.
I never thought I would have been a stay at home mom.
I swore I wouldn’t spoil my child (I guess that’s what all non-parents say when they hear an untamed child screaming for cheesefries in Applebees)
I would have never traded in showers for playtime
I’m afraid of what the next 2 years will bring, since she already says “NO WAY MOMMY!” (Something I thought I would have about 12 years to hear.)
Her big birthday celebration is coming up – hopefully it won’t get rained out from the hurricane headed our way! We are planning a Minnie Mouse themed party. Minnie herself is expected to be there – as my toddler took the liberty of inviting her and the entire clubhouse – so this should be interesting…
Tell me about your child’s big birthday party!
It goes so fast, I can’t remember mine at that age, oh yes I can…Enjoy her while she is still little. 🙂
Oh my, I’ve only got 2 years LEFT of parenting until my youngest is 18 years old. I remember being a perfect parent too! Then my kids were born. LOL. Two years old, huh? Happy birthday to the little princess!!!
What a big Mickey Mouse. How cute. I miss my kids being that little. Happy Birthday to your daughter. Stumbled.
