Right before we moved into our home, we had a lot of remodeling to do. Everything, down to the walls and floors were changed. We knew that this project would cost a lot more than we wanted to spend, so we looked into places where we could get discounts and low price flooring. Since it was the first time I ever had to remodel a home, I had no idea where to even begin.
The first person I went to was my mom. She has remodeled her own home and had experience with options. We started with the floors, since I figured that would be a lot harder to choose than paint colors for the walls. We sat down to discuss what floors went best in each room, and she presented me with these options: porcelain, ceramic, stone, tile, wood and laminate. She explained the price variations for each, and went on to tell me which might be better for our lifestyle. Stone would be a little too hard for active children who fall often, so that was out. We decided to do wood throughout the house, and ceramic floors in the kitchen.
Our next step was to find someone who had the best selection in hardwood floors. After searching, I found out about Floor and Decor. They have a huge selection in flooring, and since they are specialists, they offer great prices! Our next project is the basement. We started fixing it last year, but we didn’t have the resources to tile the floors, so we put down a large area rug. I’m ready to get rid of the rug and retile the floors down there, and Floor Decor makes it easy to shop from the comfort of my home- we all know how important that is when you have kids. Let’s not forget about Floor and Decor’s great prices!
