I love that ever since Nutrisystem my refrigerator is always full of fresh fruit and vegetables – and now my hubby actually eats them because he knows it is important in his diet. Nutrisystem not only offers weight loss, but an entire lifestyle change which is what sets it apart from other diets. Instead of starving yourself thinner, you actually have to eat the right amount of calories and include all of the essential vitamins and nutrients from fruits and vegetables.
When I put my meals together, I love seeing my plate and how full it is. Sometimes I cannot even finish my meal! I find myself no longer craving chips as a snack – I will reach for a handful of grapes or an apple instead. I have bent the rules on my plan at this point, where if I am hungry and want something sweet I will eat a fruit instead of “free veggies” (which are unlimited veggies I am entitled to in order to satiate my craving).
I have lost about 1.2 pounds this wee and a total of 14 pounds in the past 11 weeks. The most weight loss occurred in the first week, which is typical, but not really expected in the upcoming weeks on the program. A pound a week seems to be the average. I have about another 6-10 pound that I would like to lose, and it seems that I will be able to meet my goal by the time my Nutrisystem 16 week plan is over. When I signed up for this program, I actually thought that I would have lost all the weight I wanted to lose within the first month, but now I realize those were unrealistic expectations and could have snowballed into an unhealthy eating habits.
