Colder weather days are upon us and I’m happy to sit home with the kids for some popcorn and movie night when it’s too cold to be adventurous. Our weekends are generally very busy through the holidays, but I know we will hit a slump in January where it’s too cold to get out and I’ll be looking for activities to do with my kids. Their favorite thing on a lazy cold Saturday is to make breakfast with me, do some homework, and then start a craft. I always have something on hand to keep their little hands busy, just last week we made our first gingerbread houses of the season! After we clean up it’s onto the couch for some quiet time and shows that all my kids will like – there aren’t many that can speak to their age differences at 2, 5, and 8, but P. King Duckling has been something that they all consistently like and can watch together.
Do you know what makes me happier than all my kids getting along and able to agree on a show? Two things- 1-Having the ability to watch the show, uninterrupted by commercials and streaming through Netflix, and 2- Having my kids enjoy a show that relays positive messages and possibly teaches them some simple life lessons while attuning to their creativity. P. King Duckling fits both of my criteria for a show since now they are streaming on Netflix!
