We’ve had a truly amazing cold and flu season in my house. I have three young children and we’ve suffered only one stomach bug and a few runny noses. My daughter turned 1 this past winter and as the youngest she had a few ear infections, but my 3 and 4 year-old boys were pretty healthy. In fact, my 3 year-old didn’t even miss any school this year! Until the last week of school. I don’t even know how its possible to get a stomach bug this late in the season…..but we’ve got it. Unfortunately.
Thankfully, I have my house stocked with PediaOne, a Natural Oral Electrolyte Solution. Now that I’m a Mom, I’m often looking for all natural products. One of the key advantages to PediaOne is that it contains all natural colors, flavors, and sweeteners. And my kids each have their favorites. My younger son loves the colors pink and red so he naturally gravitates towards the mixed berry flavor and red packaging (that is BPA-free, highly recyclable PET bottles). However, the beverage itself is clear! My daughter loves the white-grape & pear and my oldest loves the citrus blend. And in addition to the better taste and great flavors, PediaOne provides vitamins and minerals for added energy and immune system support, including Zinc, and a special B and C vitamin blend. So, not only are the kids excited about re-hydrating…..I’m happy they are getting the vitamins and minerals they need to recover from their illness.
One thing that I found truly interesting is the science behind PediaOne. Osmolality. Osmolality measures the amount of dissolved solids in the liquid solution which affects the rage at which the fluid is absorbed into the bloodstream. The recommended osmolality range is 220-240 Mmol/L. And PedialOne’s range is 260-285Mmol/L, higher than water and less than sports drinks, juice, and soda which contain excess sugar.
Not only is PediaOne a smart choice for re-hydration, its affordable at just $3.99-$4.49 at local retailers. Find out more about PediaOne, and follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

I am glad that they are clear in color.

I count on drinks like this during cold season. My youngest always refuses to eat or drink anything and we get so concerned. She likes these though
