My girls love the idea of going to the theater. We live in NYC after all, and theater shows are abundant and popular. Unfortunately there are only a handful of age-appropriate shows for them, but when we heard Peppa Pig Live was coming to a theater near us, I knew it was something they would enjoy. Peppa Pig has been a favorite character in our household since she was introduced to the US. It started with my oldest daughter bring intrigued by the talking pig and her family. Peppa Pig became our nightly wind-down routine with a few episodes right before bed. To see the show live is an experience I know they won’t forget!
After we arrived at the theater and took our seats, we were introduced to our first character, Daisy, who would remain with us for most of the show. Soon after we were introduced to familiar characters from the Peppa Pig cast, including Peppa Pig herself. The characters were interesting and out of the ordinary. The characters were giant puppets controlled by puppeteers, with the exception of Mummy Pig, Papa Pig, and Mr Potato. I found it both intriguing and amazing to see the puppeteers control their character and act out scenes. My girls were entertained the entire time and the show ended right when they started to get restless. A short intermission was perfect for a quick snack and bathroom break.

Immediately after the show we were invited to Party with Peppa in the lounge. Light snacks and refreshments were served while the children lined up to take pictures with Peppa and George. They also had an opportunity to complete fun crafts and received a specialPeppa Pig coloring book to celebrate their day.

Peppa Pig Live is a new launch for the US. Find out if there is a show near you. Tickets for Peppa Pig Live would make an awesome Christmas gift for that Peppa Pig fan on your list this year!
I’m not terribly familiar with Peppa Pig, but I have to say this does seem like a lot of fun.
