Summer is here and you know what that means? PARTYYYYYY!
We have a lot of events over the summer. From birthdays and barbecues to ladies nights in and family events. My little girl is an “almost” summer baby. Technically her birthday falls in the summer season, but no one associates September with Summer. Still, the weather is warm when we plan her birthday, and we usually celebrate the end of August- right when everyone gets back from vacation, but before the hustle and bustle of school begins. Her first birthday was perfect: we had a beautiful sunny day. Last year, for her second birthday, we had an interesting turn of events. Our outdoor birthday bash turned into and indoor, “come, have cake, and be on your way” event. It was the same day Hurricane Irene hit and half our guests didn’t show up. This year, we are prepared for rain or sun, and we are having a great time planning it WITH her! She is turning 3, but acts like a 14 year old. Just the other day I was showing her pictures of what her cake would look like and she said “Actually mommy, I like the other one better.” What? “Actually?” Did a toddler just say that to me? Whoa, I’m already in trouble. Then it happened again. We started looking into birthday invitations. The theme of her party is Hello Kitty, and finding birthday items in that theme has been VERY easy. Hello Kitty is in now and so many companies are jumping on the bandwagon!
I came across the Hello Kitty invitations from Tiny Prints. Being that we have already used Tiny Prints in the past, we knew that the quality of the printing and the fast turnaround time would not be an issue. The ONLY problem- they have TOO many options! Yes, this isn’t really a huge problem, but when you have an indecisive toddler, along with her indecisive mama, it’s a real problem!
Finding the theme was easy: I typed in “Hello Kitty” in the search box and all my options came up. I like that they not only had the invitations, but a full stationery set which included thank you note cards and address labels. My favorite feature about Tiny Prints is their “favorites” option. I can look through an entire list of invitations and check off the ones I’m considering. Then I go into my favorites and I can start comparing them and narrowing them down. After I chose all the Hello Kitty Invitations I liked, I showed them to my toddler who picked three. Of the three I had her narrow down to one. Easy. Done!
Tiny Prints has so many options in invitations and matching stationery, so no matter what event you are planning you will find the theme or color scheme you are looking for!
