Potty training was a bit more challenging the second time as compared to the first. I thought I was equipped with the skills to potty train my second child after being so successful with my first- who was potty trained within three days. My second was potty trained over the course of a year. I know that seems like a long time, but we had a few major setbacks and then just gave up at some point.
At 12 months, my second daughter was showing all the signs of being ready. I felt she was too young, but being that she was an early walker, I thought maybe she would just pick it up. I’d put her on the potty a few times and she would go, but wasn’t consistent because of her age. By 18 months I felt she was serious and interested, so I took a week where I stayed home with her to always have the potty available. She was finally potty trained and ready for outings! Unfortunately she got a virus and didn’t feel well enough to continue with her new skill, and shortly after that we were scheduled to take a trip out of state so I decided to keep things simple for all of us and stick to diapers. About 6 months after that, she was ready to start potty training again!

The one thing I always worried about when potty training was keeping my kids comfortable. Charmin Ultra Soft is thick and soft, making it gentle on little ones. As kids get older and become more independent in the bathroom, Charmin Ultra Soft is thick enough to keep little bottoms clean, but gentle so you don’t have to worry about chafing.

Since you can go through an awful lot of toilet paper during potty training and beyond, stocking up at Sams Club is a great idea. With 1,000 FREE extra sheets per roll, you have long-lasting softness. Charmin Ultra Soft with 1,000 Free Extra Sheets per roll will only be at Sam’s Club for a limited time, so stock up while you can! They also have some potty training supplies like training pants, night time protection, and more. (Think about stocking up on some Bounty too- you might need it for those accidents that don’t quite make it to the potty!)
