Summer is just about half way over and we’ve crossed off a bunch of things from our summertime activities list. We’ve frequented our community pool, visited an indoor waterpark, and checked out a few arts and crafts classes. While all these activities proved to be fun and exciting, there’s nothing like a good old fashioned play date. Unless of course you add in some fun new toys and many ways to shine your creativity! My girls have hosted a few parties where they got to introduce a new toy or a well known toy to their friends, so when I told them about Betty Spaghetty, they were instantly excited. My almost 7 year old started planning her party, but wait, who is Betty Spaghetty anyway? The name alone sounded fun enough! Nearly 20 years ago this bendable, customizable doll was introduced to the world, and now she’s making a comeback with MooseToys (the people that brought you Shopkins.)
Re-Introducing Betty Spaghetty!
While I usually let my girls become familiar with a toy before introducing it to their friends, Betty Spaghetty was a little different. I didn’t want my girls becoming too attached to the various accessories for their dolls, so I only showed them a picture before Betty’s big debut in our home. A few days later we invited friends over for a fun filled afternoon. The girls barely had a chance to get their shoes off before little Betty body parts were strewn across the kitchen table.
Betty Spaghetty is a highly customizable doll. You can change Betty from her clothes down to each of her limbs. All the pieces snap into place as you create your one of a kind doll. You can change things from her hair to her clothes. Of course, it’s human nature to get a little silly with Betty as well. Once the girls got comfortable playing with Betty and making her unique, they took it one step further and gave her a few extra limbs, torsos, and anything else that could truly make their design one of a kind.
After some play time we sorted the Betties and their pieces into individual bags for each girl and had a Betty Spaghetty themed meal with, of course, spaghetti. The girls were too excited to eat so I promised them some Haribo Sour Spaghetti candy after their meal.
Our girls had a blast introducing Betty Spaghetty to their friends. I can see Betty becoming a fun trend for kids, mixing and matching accessories for each doll. You can find out more about the product line by visiting MooseToys.
Thanks to MooseToys for providing everything we needed for a fun filled play date with Betty Spaghetty and friends!
