Hubby: “Do you know what today is?”
5 year old: “Family Day!”
Hubby: “Yes, AND football Sunday!”
Last weekend my hubby woke up, donned his Jets t-shirt and hat, and headed to the market to pick up some game day finger foods. I guess you can say I’m a football widow, a baseball widow, and a fantasy sports widow. My husband is into his sports and if you don’t go along for the ride you get left behind. Yeah, it’s nice having a day to myself while he gets together with the guys, but the best game days happen when we combine our families and make it a special get together day where the husbands are glued to the tv watching football, the wives get to catch up, and the kids all play together.
Proctor & Gamble, Family Dollar, and Pepsi are some great names to party with this football season. We love Family Dollar because we can really stretch our buck and get a lot of items on our shopping list, plus they have great crafts for the kids to keep them entertained during these events. We will be hosting a “Gather ‘Em Up for Game Day” next weekend and our friends at Family Dollar have everything we need to get organized and have a successful get together.
Items we will be purchasing are Bounty (and plenty of it) Charmin, paper plates, frozen finger foods, Lays, Tostitos, plus supplies to clean up before and after our get togethers, like Febreze, Swiffer, and more. Oh, and don’t forget the batteries! With lots of little ones running around and all their toys, Duracell is a great item to always have on hand and can be purchased at Family Dollar.
Don’t you just love having all your favorite brands in ONE store, that also provides you with affordable prices? Family Dollar is a great place to shop for game day, and one lucky reader can win a prize pack with some P&G favorites, plus a $25 Family Dollar gift card. Enter below:
