My hubby and I have a weekend ritual which started with a holiday gift from a student when I was teaching. Almost 2 years ago, I received a Starbucks gift card. I usually make my coffee at home, and my hubby prefers a Greek Frappe (or rather, French) as opposed to “American Coffee” so we rarely purchase coffee. One morning, we were in a rush to leave the house and didn’t get a chance to make coffee or grab breakfast – so we decided to use the gift card and go to Starbucks. This was the beginning of our weekend ritual. Every Saturday or Sunday (and sometimes both) my hubby would get up early and head over to Starbucks for a yummy treat. I preferred the Cafe Vanilla Frappuccino, while his preference was the Mocha Frappuccino. When the holidays rolled around again, my new favorite was the Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino. Besides coffee, my hubby would also pick us up breakfast. He loved the sweets and I favored their Spinach and Feta Omelet Wrap (MMM… I can taste it now!)
Just recently, Starbucks launched their Bistro Boxes which are great mini meals for on the go. I tried the Cheese and Fruit Bistro Box ($4.95) which had pieces of apple, dried cranberries, almonds, crackers, and 3 types of cheese: Gouda (my fav!), Brie, and Cheddar. If you have ever heard of or been on the Meditteranean diet, THIS IS IT! The meal is light yet filling and a delicious blend between salty and sweet.
Other items in the new Starbucks Bistro Box line include: Chicken and Hummus (the next one I would love to try) Chicken and Lettuce Wraps, Chipotle Chicken Wraps, Protein Bistro Box, Salumi & Cheese Bistro Box, Sesame Noodles, and Tuna Salad. These are great for any meal and a perfect portion. I would definitely be trying out their other varieties! By the way, if you’re dieting for weight loss, you could always add a sprinkle of Sensa to your Bistro Box to make it easier on the waistline!
So when you head over to your local Starbucks for coffee today, be sure to check out their new Bistro Boxes for breakfast or lunch!
Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Starbucks Bistro Boxes and received a gift card to facilitate my review and thank me for taking the time to participate.

These look so delicious. Unfortunately, we can’t afford to eat out or the luxuries of coffee at a coffeehouse!
