Summer Infant Review *Birthday Bash Giveaway*

Having a baby, I know just how much baby stuff you can accumulate and never use, or use only once. You really don’t know what you need until your child is here. Right before my daughter was born, we received a Summer Infant SwaddleMe as a gift and it was not until she was born that I knew I needed a few more! I initially did not think I would get any use out of it, but it turned out to be a lifesaver for me and my colicky newborn. It kept her swaddled and comfortable, and even helped her sleep through the night at only 6 weeks old!
I had also received a Summer Infant Bouncer that provided soothing comfort for my baby.

Comfy swaddling blankets is not the only thing that Summer Infant produces. They have a wide range of products made just for baby in many style options that is sure to match any decor. Now that my toddler is in a toddler bed, we are using a Summer Infant Bedrail which keeps her from falling out of her bed and waking up in the middle of the night. We love this rail because she can easily get in and out of bed on her own, but the spacing is not wide enough for her  to roll out while she is sleeping.

As you can see, we are a Summer Infant family. We tried MANY products from Summer Infant and we were very please with their quality and style. I had the opportunity to work with Summer Infant after experiencing some of their products on my own, and they were gracious enough to send me a diaper bag and bassinet to review.

One item that I did not purchase was a diaper bag. I had a few bags that I used as diaper bags that I found suited my style better than anything I had seen in the baby stores. When I came across the Summer Infant Easton Tote, I knew I had to have it. It is a gorgeous bag and almost resembles the Vera Wang diaper bag I wanted very badly, but just couldn’t afford. Summer Infant makes baby care very affordable and you can find their products at Walmart, Target, Amazon, and Babies R Us.

What I love about this diaper bag: It is very roomy but not bulky. It has a ton of pockets inside of pockets so you can store things from band aids to a whole pack of diapers. It is our favorite outing bag and we use it for our trips to the beach house. I love that there are two ways to carry it: over the shoulder, or briefcase style. I like that the side pockets close, so you can store a small camera or your cell phone, and not worry about them falling out. There is a smaller pocket in the main pocket for a bottle so that it does not tip while you are carrying the bag. I am able to fit 2 outfits, 6 diapers, a travel case of wipes in the main compartment. In the smaller pockets I have extra socks, travel toiletries, and a few snacks. The side compartments hold my camera and phone, while the small front compartment is great for easy access to my wallet and keys. With all that, there is still room to pack more, but this is what I take along with me on a typical outing for a few hours. Did I mention how stylish it is? I receive compliments on this bag every time I go out!

A bassinet is another item that I did not have for my daughter. I felt that I wouldn’t need it with the play yard we got, but now I see that it was definitely a must have. A bassinet would have been much slimmer in our room and easier to maneuver in and out of the bedroom. Summer Infant has modern and classic styles for bassinets. My personal favorite was the Animal Parade Bassinet. With a solid wood construction and wheels, you know you are getting a luxurious bassinet with storage on the bottom for your little angel. It comes complete with a sound machine that has a variety of sounds from lullabies to womb sounds. The canopy is adjustable and works well to keep light out while baby is sleeping. I had the most fun reviewing this product and I think it is a definite MUST HAVE for the newest addition to your family. They material is soft and silky against baby’s new skin. It is on wheels, so you can keep it in your room at night, and during the day you can wheel it into the living room so baby has a comfy place to nap. It comes with everything you see in the picture, and the bassinet sheet is removable for easy washing.
