Have you heard the news? The Boxtrolls are coming this September! On 9/26/14, The Boxtrolls will be at a theater near you. I’m personally excited about this because after watching stop-motion films like Coraline with my oldest daughter, we’ve been hooked. We’ve seen behind the scenes footage and what really goes into making a stop-motion film and find it so fascinating because you know the people that are behind this film really put a lot into making them. Coraline still remains one of our favorites, even after all these years, mainly because it is “different” than animated features.
So, back to The Boxtrolls! I haven’t seen it myself yet, but from the looks of it it seems that these mysterious creatures, The Boxtrolls, are seen as “monsters” to people. Ironically, they have a human amongst them in their Boxtroll world, and, well, check out the preview below to find out more!

I was incredibly intrigued by the behind the scenes process of Coraline and ParaNorman and I’m sure The Box Trolls is going to be nothing short of incredible movie magic too.
