From the moment I found out I had a little boy in my belly, I knew the decor in his room, as well as the majority of his toys, would be trains. Trains hold an enormous sentiment to my husband and myself, and our little man would hopefully adopt our love of trains. My son discovered Thomas the Tank after we spent a week with my nephew, who had a Thomas train table and accessories that my son fell in love with. From clothing to decor, everything Thomas and Friends surrounded us. It was only natural he had a Thomas themed 3rd birthday party! While Thomas the Tank was celebrating his 73rd birthday last week, my little guy was celebrating his big THREE!
It all started with the cake. Once my son saw an ad for the Baskin Robbins Thomas themed ice cream cake, he had to have it. I promised him we would get it for his birthday, so when it was time to start planning, we did just that. We were able to choose any flavor ice cream they had and the decorations were included for a fee. We went for a cookies and cream filling with a chocolate cake underneath. It was DELICIOUS!
Along with Thomas themed treats, my little guy enjoyed some toys from one of his favorite characters! The Thomas & Friends MegaBloks set was his favorite, plus it comes in a carry-bag that is easy to bring along with us on trips. A little Thomas hat of his own would fit in perfectly during his pretend-play along with a Thomas whistle that sounds like a train when blown. Our guests loved receiving Thomas mini trains as part of their goodie bag surprise.
When it comes to throwing a Thomas and Friends themed party, there are so many items offered. From table covers and napkins, to plates and items for goodie bags, your Thomas birthday party is complete! You can purchase party goods from Party City, Amazon, Target, and anywhere else party items are sold.
