Baby monitors are on every new mom’s must have list. The ability to see your baby and make sure they are safe while they sleep or play gives parents the security they need. When my first baby was born, I would be able to finally get to household duties while she napped. Watching her on the monitor gave me piece of mind.
Since having my first baby, monitors have evolved to include more features catering to parents’ needs. We received the Ayden video monitor by Levana. Levana was a brand that was recommended to us 5 years ago by a family member who trusted Levana products. Back then, we had a very basic baby monitor that did everything we wanted it to: help us watch our baby from a safe distance. The new Levana Ayden monitor does so much more than our old Levana with features like 2 way talking, lullabies that can be turned on from the parent unit, and more.
I love the portability of the parent unit. You can plug it in when it needs to be charged and have it running on batteries when you are moving around the house. The child unit can also run on batteries, which is a great feature because if you have it close to the crib you don’t have to worry about wires and strangulation. Want to hear the best part? With all these great features, the Levana Ayden Baby monitor retails at only $120! How’s that for a bargain?
Watching my baby without constantly going in her room and making noise is a big plus in owning a baby monitor. Everything else the monitor includes is a bonus, but definitely worthwhile features. I had an old monitor that played lullabies, but I would have to enter the baby’s room to turn them on and off. Being able to control sound and music without disturbing baby is one of my favorite features. You can find out more about Levana by visiting them on Facebook.

I wish I had more time to plan fun adventures out of the house with my daughter.
