The third week of being on Nurtisystem started off well. I was fearful that I might get bored with the food I was going to be eating, but I must admit, the various options that came with my Nurtisytem package make it pretty easy to follow. I have many choices for my main meals, and the desserts work as a nice reward to keep my sweet tooth in check. I was able to up my activity a lot more this week and have noticed that my pants are a bit looser around my waist.
My only concern this week was the entire family was getting together to celebrate Easter on Sunday. In my family, like most others, any holiday get together is an excuse to eat as much food as possible. This was going to be another major test for me, but I made sure to prep myself mentally for this day. Just like the previous week, I maintained my diet throughout the day and upon arrival to the party made sure to only eat once, and to keep my portions limited in size. I even had a small piece of cake, but I knew that I was still keeping my calories around the number they had to be at. The other key thing is I had no soda. Prior to starting this diet, I drank way too much soda. In the last three week, I have cut it out entirely. I am sure this has also helped out with the weight loss as well.
