I have to say – planning an impromptu vacation with a toddler does not have too many possibilities. About two weeks ago, hubby surprised me and decided that for Independence Day, we would take a mini vacation. This sounded fantastic and we started looking at places to go. We picked a few hot spots: Vegas, Florida, Mexico, and Bahamas – even found a child friendly cruise. Then it hit me – I need to get a passport for my little girl if we decide to go out of the country. We’ve been saying we should get her passport together since she was a few months old – but never got around to it. Besides, where would two laid off NYC teachers go that actually required a passport?
