Did you ever wonder what you would do with $1 million? Living in NYC, I can tell you that a million dollars will not get you far around here, especially if you are buying real estate. Houses and even small apartments in prime NYC run anywhere from $500,000 and up, topping at over millions of dollars. It’s crazy, and this is the state we live in, but we are so rooted I can’t see us leaving, ever.
Aside from purchasing a home to call our own, I’ve often thought of what we might do with a million dollars. It’s a lot of cash which can go a long way if you plan properly. On my list of things I would do with a million dollars are: set up nice sized accounts for my children’s college funds, take a REAL time out for mommy – spa, vacation, night out in the city, you get the picture… and I would plan for my retirement. I know I know, it sounds BORING, but opportunities like this don’t come often, so plan wisely!
So, what would YOU do with a million dollars? Remember those commercials for Publisher’s Clearinghouse? They were usually on when I was home sick from school. I would watch people get surprised with a fat check and a bunch of balloons. Their lives would be changed by the people who showed up with a million dollars and I always imagined that would be me one day. But it wasn’t – because I never entered to win! Sure, I was too young at that time, but I have no excuses now! How can anyone expect to win something if they don’t enter?!? So, here’s what I’m telling you: If you want to win $1 Million plus $5,000 every week for life, GO ENTER! You have nothing to lose, and only the chance of a lifetime to gain!

Liz @ A Nut in a Nutshell says
I’m way too practical because I’d pay off my kids’ student loans, set them up big old funds for security and then set myself up an investment account. I probably wouldn’t spend a thin dime of it initially. I worked too hard to get out of debt that I’ve become pretty darn frugal!
TerriAnn @ Cookies & Clogs says
That would be way too awesome to win! We’d probably use it to pay off bills and live off of for a while. With that kind of money, we wouldn’t mind moving somewhere super cheap and not having to worry about bills/work/etc. but just enjoy each other π
