Right before my little girl started crawling, I moved all my cleaning supplies from the bottom of the pantry to the top of the pantry. I knew that I had quite a few very toxic chemicals that I was still cleaning with, although when I was pregnant I mainly cleaned with vinegar. I still use vinegar for a lot of my cleaning, but I found that sometimes you need a little something else, like in the bathroom or on the stove-top. I try to use all natural cleaning products as much as possible. Admittedly, you will still find quite a few dangerous cleaners in my pantry.
Don’t be fooled by the term “non-toxic.” Just because something is non toxic doesn’t mean you want your child ingesting it. The people over at Healthy Child Healthy World have endorsed Shaklee cleaning products for their safety. Shaklee has a full line of natural and nontoxic cleaning choices that are safe for you, your home, and the planet. The product line is called “Get Clean” and contains no harmful fumes or hazardous chemicals. Believe it or not, they outperform 20 national leading brands when it comes to cleaning. Best of all, you save money by using Shaklee Get Clean products! You would spend $3400 for ready to use cleaners to get the same amount of clean found in the Get Clean Starter Kit! The super concentrated formula is mixed with water to dilute it and then can be used for cleaning. Just 1/4 tsp makes 16 oz all purpose cleaner at only 3 cents! When you purchase the Get Clean starter kit, you are also making a smarter choice for the environment by keeping 108 pounds of packaging waste from landfills and eliminating 248 pounds of greenhouse gas.
Here is only a few of the toxic products that are currently in my pantry:
They have now ALL been replaced with these products:
Here is a challenge for you – Look at the household data base; do you find any of these chemicals in your cleaning products:kerosene, phenols, cresol, lye, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, sulfuric acid, petroleum distillates, ammonia, sodium hydroxide, butyl cellosolve, phosphoric acid, formaldehyde, chlorine bleach, morpholine, phthalates?
These are all the chemicals you WILL NOT find in Get Clean! Need help getting started in clearing out all the toxic chemicals from your home? You can win a Shaklee Mini Household Kit! Check out the Giveaway Rules and then fill out the easy Rafflecopter form below!

I’ve also been cleaning more with vinegar, but I’ve been hesitant to spend money on natural cleaning products that might not work. I also have a baby and a toddler so I want to use cleaners that are safer around them.
I just switched to green products and looking for the best ones.
I have been trying to switch all of our cleaners over to green cleaners because it is better for the environment, because I’ve lost 2 pets last year to cancer (no link, but you just never know – one nasal and one intestinal) and because its just healthier for all of us!
with two toddlers and two large dogs in the house i am always looking for ways to get greener with my cleaning products.

Because I hate the way my sinuses feel for hours after I am done cleaning and I don’t like pouring chemicals into our water supply
So that my home is safe for the lil ones
Since we have well water and a septic system, I would like to keep our cleaning products as green as possible.
I haven’t upgraded my tools and products in years. Not sure what is best anymore.
I’ve been slowly upgrading to green products but it is so hard when you have so many of the bad ones! I hate wasting them and having to spend money buying new!
I have an 8 month old who is very mobile and also puts his mouth on everything. Green products would help me knowing he’s not going to encounter any harsh chemicals in his wanderings around the house.
I need a green cleaning makeover because I’m planning on getting a dog/puppy in the next few months and I’d like to get rid of all the toxic, or potentially toxic, stuff first. Thanks for a neat giveaway.
I need one because I love using products that are free from damaging chemicals whether it’s cleaning supplies, make-up, or anything! I’d love to try this brand as I haven’t yet!
i’m just wanting to have my world safe and by going green is just one more way to do so.
Wonderful review. I also tried the products and I enjoyed them. They did a great job cleaning. I am now trying out the Cinch Porgram from Shaklee.
I would like to use less chemicals to keep my family and pets safe and to protect the enviornment. Right now, I use too many harsh chemical solutions in my home.
