Once upon a time, there was a girl who waited for her prince charming to come along. When he finally came along and asked for her hand in marriage, she vowed never to take off the symbol of their love. One day, she takes a trip to the insurance company to insure her engagement ring from all her worst fears, not knowing just how much Prince Charming spent on her rock. Just as she thought the biggest surprise in her life came when he proposed to her, she found herself once again astonished at the price tag and value of her ring. The pressure grew intense as she realized that if she ever lost her ring, it was like losing a car, or perhaps a downpayment on a house.
Does this story sound familiar? I never travel with my engagement ring. I’m always afraid of the worst, and although it is insured, I don’t ever want to be faced with losing my ring and dealing with a replacement. When I was working in a school and teaching baking classes, I wore it much less than I do now. In the past, I had purchased a “travel ring” which was a simulated diamond ring. There is a problem with fake diamonds though. They LOOK fake.
Then I came across faux diamond rings from Diamonius. The quality of these simulated diamonds do not even compare to others I have seen. They are so clear and super sparkly, no one would know your little secret. Although I love to wear simulated diamonds when I travel, I think these rings are also great for a couple who decide they would like to spend their money on a house as opposed to an engagement ring (you really can’t live under a rock!)
Do you travel with your diamond rings?
My hubby proposed to me with his great grandmother’s ring. So its more of an heirloom than a really expensive piece of jewelry. I am currently 29 weeks pregnant and starting to worry about my ring getting too tight so I have stopped wearing it and bought a faux ring! It’s actually from Kohl’s and I think it’s hard to tell that it’s fake.
It’s beautiful! Love your choice.
I really like their rings.
That is pretty!
I do travel with mine – but right now I’m wearing a fake ring bc my fingers are still fat from pregnancy… :0
It’s a great choice but i may get a fake one when I travel.
I am one that hates to leave my rings at home if I leave unless I have put them somewhere really safe.
I’ve been debating getting a fake ring so I don’t have to wear mine daily .
I do travel with my diamond ring.
