Baby Shower Event: Eddie Bauer Play Yard Review and Giveaway!

Whether or not you take many trips with your baby, a play yard is a MUST HAVE! I used the play yard we had for my little girl at home the most. I permanently had it set up in our bedroom to serve as a bassinet. This worked out well, because she ended up staying in our room until she was about 7 months old, which would have put her way over a bassinet weight limit. After we moved her out of our room, the play yard served as an actual play yard during the day and a place to nap in the afternoon. On our weekend adventures, we never left the house without our play yard! Even though my little girl is a toddler and sleeps in a toddler bed at home, our play yard still travels with us and gets plenty of use! I love that I have a safe place to keep her at night – even though she isn’t too thrilled that she is behind bars.

Things I was looking for in a bassinet included ease of assembly, portability, bassinet feature, some entertainment, and of course, above all: safety. The Eddie Bauer Fairview play yard has all that and more! There are two height adjustments, depending on which stage your baby is at. Once your baby starts to pull themselves up, you will need to put the bed on the lower level so they can’t climb out. The changing table is great for little ones and I love that it wipes clean! There is a vibrating feature which gently soothes younger babies, while cute bears dangle up top to entertain. The canopy serves as a sunshade which works great during nap time. There is also a small organizing compartment where you can store toys, diapers, creams, and wipes. With all these features, the Eddie Bauer play yard is an excellent choice for babies from birth to 50 lbs, and it retails at under $150, which is a steal! The Fairview collecting is gorgeous, either for a boy or a girl.
