Back to School with pediped!

The most important piece of clothing a child has is a comfortable pair of shoes. Children’s feet are new; constantly developing and intended to take decades of abuse (especially girls who might eventually wear high heels!) It’s important to get kids off on the right foot and keep those tootsies healthy. My mom has always stressed the importance of quality shoes for early walkers, and throughout childhood. For this reason, I have been very picky when choosing shoes that my toddler will wear on a regular basis. The best shoes for kids have to fit correctly, have flexibility for little feet always on the go, and be lightweight.

I have heard people state that “expensive toddler shoes” are not worth the price tag, and admittedly, when I took my toddler for her first pair of shoes and spent upwards of $60, I had to remind myself that quality shoes were an investment in her foot development. My toddler has been sporting her latest shoes from pediped: Neptune in Silver and Raspberry. She loves anything that is light pink, so when she saw the hot pink colors on the shoe, she was turned off. I, on the other hand, LOVED the style. I told her that these new shoes will help her hop higher, and she immediately put them on. After walking around in  them she stated that “these shoes feel good, mommy!” I never asked her, and she never expressed to me that her other shoes weren’t comfortable, but this comment showed me that she did indeed feel a difference in her new shoes compared to her previous shoes. Because of this, it will only be pediped on her feet when it comes to sneakers.

One of my favorite features of the pediped Flex shoe is the Flex fit System. I always buy my toddler’s shoes a half to full size bigger than what she currently wears. The Flex fit System slides right into the shoe to create a snug fit for shoes that are a little bigger, and then the insert can be removed once your child’s foot grows. This is an awesome feature because it extends the wearability of the shoe and saves you money in the long run!
