When I became a parent for the first time, I thought I had a clear understanding of what I needed, what I wanted, and what wasn’t really necessary for the first few months after bringing home baby. I knew a pack n play, car seat, and swing were a must. A crib was a no-brainer, but a bassinet? Did I really need a bassinet for baby? I didn’t think it was necessary and kept the pack n play next to my bed instead. I should also mention we were living in a NYC apartment, which was spacious enough in the kitchen, living room, and dining room, but our bedrooms were lacking in space, so the pack n play was an eyesore for a good 6 months in our tight quarters.

It wasn’t until my second baby that I was gifted a bassinet and realized what I missed out on the first time around. Having a smaller sleep area for the baby meant more space in our room. After my second c-section I was still very sore, and while having the baby next to me made my life much easier than having her in her room, it was still difficult in the first few weeks to physically get up when baby needed to be soothed, fed, and changed. Some nights I would have to ask my husband to get out of bed and hand me the baby, even though she was closer to me than she was to him. I’m all about paternal involvement and think it’s important for daddy to help out too, but when he had to wake up at 5am for work, I felt bad bothering him to help me just pick up the baby.

The beautiful grey damask print is perfect for boy or girl, and the sheet comes off easy for washing. You can also use any standard size bassinet sheet on the mattress.

The swivel feature is what sets this bassinet aside from others. Being able to bring your baby closer and even hover over your bed creates a closeness your baby needs, while keeping them safe in their own sleeping area.

  10. I like that this bassinet has the height adjustment. Some beds are taller and some are shorter than others. The pull down side bar is definitely convenient for taking the baby out of it in the middle of the night for a nursing session or a diaper change. And I like the the mattress/pad inside is basically universal, so you can use other sheets on it while the one included is in the wash. This sounds like an all around wonderful bassinet to have. I am due in December with my 3rd and never had a bassinet before but it is one item on our list we really want since it would be so much easier to use. Thanks for the chance!

  21. I love the swivel feature and that it doesn’t have to clip on to the bed. We have a waterbed so we can’t use those side sleepers! This solves that problem!

  41. I love everything about this bassinet. Expecting our first in a few months and we plan on getting a crib. However, that will be in the nursery. All my friends have repeatedly said to get a bassinet or co-sleeper, for the first few months. Especially for night time feedings. I have been leaning towards the co-sleepers, but I do not like that they are attached to your bed. That would just be really difficult when you want to get out of bed. I love that this has both a height adjustment, 360 swivel feature, and the pull down bar. It takes up a lot less space than a crib in your bedroom. I like that its mesh, so its breathable. Whats not to love….this would be a great giveaway to win. Thanks!!
