There are so many options out there when it comes to diaper rash creams – it is hard to choose the right one for baby. Butt Paste diaper rash was actually recommended to me by my daughter’s pediatrician. Before I tell you how much I LOVE this stuff, let me tell you a little more about our pediatrician. He does not recommend products that are harsh or over-prescribe meds that are unnecessary. We knew he was the right pediatrician for us for this reason. When he suggests products, I know that it usually consists of the most basic ingredients and no harsh chemicals.
My daughter was not prone to diaper rashes during her first year – and I think that is because she was breastfed. She did have the occasional rash here and there – nothing a little bit of All Natural Boudreaux’s Butt Paste couldn’t clear up. I always kept a tube in her diaper bag and another on her changing table. Just recently we switched to cloth diapers – and while I know that certain diaper rash creams are no good for cloth diapers, I will either use a liner or a disposable diaper when she gets a rash.
Just recently my little girl suffered a horrible rash from sitting in a poopie diaper way too long. (It’s almost like she knew we would be reviewing the all new Extra Strength Butt Paste.) Apparently she pooped right before she fell asleep and slept with a dirty diaper the entire night. In the morning her skin was very red and she was in a lot of pain. I placed her in a warm bath, dried her off and placed her in a clean disposable diaper with Extra Strength Butt Paste. I put very little on my finger and it went a long way – as a matter of fact, I think I used TOO much. I tried to rub it in her skin but there was a lot of residual left over. I would suggest not using too much for this reason.
By her next diaper change, her rash was MUCH better and almost gone. One more application of Extra Strength Butt Paste cleared up her rash and it was gone in less than 24 hours! We had a playdate the same day and my friend was telling me that she uses plain powder on her daughter’s rashes, but this time she had a rash that was just too stubborn. She had a bad experience from using another leading brand’s diaper rash ointment and chose not to use it anymore on her kids. I let her try out some All Natural Boudreaux’s Butt Paste and she is sold. I sent her home with a tube and she later called to tell me that her daughter’s rash was already cleared up.
So, not only is Boudreaux’s Butt Paste doctor recommended, but it is fastidious-mom recommended too!
