After my hubby and I purchased our first home a few months ago, we also needed to purchase new appliances, video consoles, and two televisions. I didn’t know what a Smart TV was when we purchased it. To be completely honest, we purchased our television from a clearance sale and it was the right price. The reality of all the bells and whistles it came along with didn’t phase me until the TV was set up and I had access to so much more than I had on our old TV. Netflix, YouTube, VuDu, Amazon Prime, Kids Games, and even Facebook are all at my fingertips when I turn on my television. I don’t know how I lived without a Smart TV for so many years.
Now that we are know the ins and outs of how to work our Smart TV, we needed a way to get around the menus easier. Typing anything with a plain TV remote with one letter at a time is tedious, especially when your kids change their minds about what they want to watch by the time you are able to spell out Bubble Guppies.
Logitech is a name I have been familiar with for years. They always had the latest technology when it came to keyboards and wireless options, so when I heard they made a keyboard for a Smart TV I wasn’t surprised. I was excited to try out their new Logitech Harmony Smart Keyboard, hoping it would simplify my life a little bit more than a Smart TV already had. The Harmony Smart Keyboard is sold exclusively at Best Buy, which is great because if you are like me, Best Buy is one of your favorite stores. The kids and hubby always have a great time when we go to Best Buy because we can shop for things we need in the home, and the kids always find something they love too, like a new video game.
The Harmony Smart Keyboard works with your cable set-top box, and can control your DVR, control volume, change channels and have a much easier viewing experience. You can also use your Smartphone or iPad with the Harmony App, which turns your phone into a universal remote. I just LOVE new gadgets!
Be sure to head over to Best Buy to get your Harmony Smart Keyboard and find out if it is compatible with your TV.
