One of the best things about living in NYC is having access to the Bronx Zoo and checking out all it has to offer. We have taken many family adventures through the Bronx Zoo for various events. There is something new to see each time you go back, and the kids never get tired of seeing their favorite animals up close and personal.
This year, the Bronx Zoo is celebrating their 120th birthday, and to celebrate they have set up a fun scavenger-hunt event where you can take part in the action and visit 120 wild animals and share your photos on social media. While you are sharing your adventure, you will be entered to win fun prizes, like the Grand a Prize of an escape for 2 to Belize for completing 10/120 NY is Wild activities, or a whale watching tour for 4 with Wildlife Society scientists for completing 50/120!
Participation is easy, especially because you are probably taking pictures of those adorable creatures anyway, so here’s your next steps- sign up at NYisWild with either your Instagram or twitter profile. We live 5 minutes from the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo so zoos are a frequent family outing for us. Looks like an awesome zoo in NYC too!

I love this! We rarely get up to the Bronx mostly because the Central Park Zoo is so close but this is just the excuse we need.
