Have you seen pictures of babies in a hospital nursery wearing a HALO SleepSack Swaddle? I have, and I always wonder if they are modelled pictures that were taken for marketing purposes or if hospitals are actually catching on and using the HALO SleepSack on newborns. It turns out, over 800 hospitals nationwide are using and providing HALO SleepSack Swaddles through HALO Innovations’ HALO Safer Way to Sleep Initiative.
I must admit, I’m a little jealous. I wish the hospital where I delivered my little girl would jump on the bandwagon to provide SleepSack Swaddles to their patients. Not only do newborns sleep better when they are swaddled properly, but they also sleep SAFER. It took me quite a few tries before I was able to master the swaddle fold with a blanket on my newborn, and regardless of how well or tight I swaddled her, she would always manage to come undone. One baby item I always recommend to new moms is the SleepSack because of its ease of use and safety.
Did your hospital use HALO SleepSack Swaddles in the nursery for your child? Were you given a HALO SleepSack to take home with you? Are you expecting a new baby and interested in learning if your hospital participates in the program? Check out HALOSleep to find out more info! You can also connect with HALO on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date on their latest new and information.

Im not sure if our hospitals do that yet but I’ll look into it. I hope it keeps catching on with more hospitals. Thanks for sharing this, Im so glad these hospitals are doing that.

They used them in the nursery, but would not let you take one home
