You may not realize how important good nursing clothes are until you are breastfeeding. I thought I would have been able to get by on nursing bras and a good cover, but I quickly found out that my wardrobe was not conducive for breastfeeding. I needed a more convenient way to access my boob when my impatient baby was ready to eat. I also needed a great way to keep the rest of my body covered while she nursed.
I was introduced to Bravado Nursing Tanks by accident. I was in the right place at the right time. Buy Buy Baby was having a huge clearance event a few weeks before I was due. There was a one and only sample of the Bravado Essential Nursing Tank on clearance that was just my size. At the time I didn’t realize how much I would need this tank top, or that my relationship with this tank would last an entire year. I brought it home, washed it, and stored it away in a drawer until I needed it.
Fast forward a few weeks later, I was looking for solutions to easy access tops for breastfeeding. I went out and purchased two nursing tops, which looked like regular shirts, from my local maternity store. With my post-partum body, these shirts didn’t fit or look too good. I was still searching. In my frustrations I remembered my Bravado Nursing Tank and decided to give it a try. Although it was a little snug in the beginning due to engorgement, within a few weeks it fit perfectly. It even fit well over my post-pregnancy belly!
Going into colder months, I knew tank tops wouldn’t be the best choice of apparel, so I stocked up on V-Neck sweaters and cardigans so I could wear my Bravado tanks underneath. This worked well throughout my entire breastfeeding experience. I purchased a few “other” tank tops during this time and felt they just didn’t hold up as well as my Bravado. The were more like tank tops with a shelf bra and after a few washings lost their shape and comfort. I would definitely recommend spending a few extra bucks on the Bravado because you know it will keep its shape and fit well for months ahead!
My favorite features of the Bravado Essential Nursing Tank are the easy to access drop down cups, built in bra (SO much better than a shelf bra) and the overall fit of the tank itself. When you are nursing, engorged, and sometimes sore, the last thing you want is to wear a bra. The Bravado Essential Nursing tank gives you full coverage and support so you don’t need to wear an additional bra with it.
Along with amazing nursing tanks, Bravado also has a line of nursing bras. Be sure to stop by Bravado to check out all they have to offer, and connect with them on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date on their latest news and promotions!
