Since it’s raining today in NYC, today is most definitely a stay indoors, do some laundry, and watch a movie kind of day. I don’t let my toddler sit in front of the TV for an extended amount of time, but since the housework has piled up, I’ll make an exception! Good thing she has some Dora to keep her entertained! In Dora’s latest never-before-seen episode, Dora the Explorer: Dora’s Royal Rescue, Dora must rescue Don Quixote.

Join Lady Knight Dora in a double-length adventure, as she and her faithful squire Boots embark on a noble quest to help Rocinante the Horse save his knight, Don Quixote (voiced by Andy Garcia), who has been locked in Story Castle by the mean Malambruno (voiced by Placido Domingo)!  They must dance past a giant spider and overcome windmills to rescue Don Quixote.

Dora, Boots, Rocinante the horse, and Dapple the donkey go on a heroic adventure to rescue a princess so they can become knights just like Don Quixote (voiced by Andy Garcia).

In every episode, Dora and Boots invite the audience to participate in an exciting adventure, where each step of their journey consists of a problem or puzzle that Dora and the audience must think their way through in order to solve the next problem.  Dorais proudly bilingual and uses her knowledge of English and Spanish to communicate with her friends, overcome obstacles and reach her goals.  In each episode, Dora teaches Spanish words or phrases to the viewers and then asks them to use it to solve a problem and forge ahead.  Ultimately, Dora and her best friend, Boots, triumph, and the story always ends with a “We Did It!” anthem.
