My little guy is almost 2! Can you believe that? I still remember when I announced my pregnancy on Instagram when I was about 5-6 months pregnant. The rollercoaster ride this little man put me on when he was still in the womb was just a sneak peak of what life with a little boy would be like. He’s active, so so active. He loves to climb, and has a wild streak in him. Just about everything he does is just to prove he can make us laugh. I’m so scared this is the little boy who will be a class clown one day. He doesn’t know he’s almost 2 years old, because he thinks he can keep up with his older sisters. He want’s to do everything they do- from sleeping in a big boy bed to sitting at a grown-up chair at the kitchen table. He even expects to be included in big-kid games like playing basketball at the park or cozying up with his sisters and their tablets. I’m not ready to buy him a tablet like theirs, because I know he needs content specifically geared towards his age and stage, and I also want the security of knowing he can’t get into anything inappropriate for his age.
We were introduced to nabi tablets a few years ago from a friend. I remember her singing the praises of this awesome tablet that was designed just for little hands. Just recently nabi asked us to check out their latest tablets that showcase their partnership with Mattel. There are fun themes to choose from, and each theme comes with a specific app package designed for your child’s interests. You can choose from Barbie, Hot Wheels, American Girl, and Fisher Price nabi tablets. I opted to try out the Fisher Price package because I felt the content was more geared towards my little guy’s age and thought the included apps would grow with him as he progressed from one stage to the next. I wasn’t wrong! Having kids ages 7, 5, and 2, I can see how each of them found something they love to play on the tablet, so I know the $99 price tag on this nabi is well worth it. (Just for reference, the other themed nabi tablets are $79.) All nabi tablets are available at Toys R Us and Amazon (you can find some of these at amazing prices right now through Amazon!)
The nabi is a full featured tablet, not just a toy. So you can still browse the web in parent mode and access apps like YouTube. Here are some specs for the Fisher Price Learning Tablet:

I love that although this tablet is full-featured android tablet, my little guy has his own area with appropriate content. There is no fear of him clicking on the wrong thing and with so many apps already pre-loaded, we don’t have to download anything else.
