One of the top baby registry items I always recommend is a good nursing pillow. Whether you are breastfeeding or not, a nursing pillow is a great way to rest baby in a comfortable position while feeding, or even while sleeping. My babies both had reflux, and my youngest daughter had to be kept upright after feedings to keep milk down. A nursing pillow was a great way to keep her propped up. When feeding, the firm side provided me much support while recovering from a c-section, while also protecting my tender belly.
The best nursing pillow I used was the Mombo nursing pillow. I love that it is double sided – one side is firm and the other is soft – so you have an option depending on baby’s age and your own comfort. It also includes a removeable vibrating option, which was great to soothe baby while resting in the Mombo.
Once baby is a bit older, you can use the mombo nursing pillow to prop her up for tummy time. The soft side is best for this, allowing some flexibility while she explores her new territory. The slipcover comes in many fashions and is removable for washing. Make sure you have a few on hand – you will want to keep your pillow protected while washing a soiled slipcover!
From all the other nursing pillows out there, Mombo is the most versatile – offering a unique shape, various slipcovers, soothing vibrations, and two types of firmness. Best of all, it is available at Babies R Us which makes it super easy to find in store and online! You can find out more about Comfort and Harmony by visiting their online community:
