I remember shopping for my first special coat. There was a special occasion that took place in the winter, and my grandmother felt it was the right time for me to have my own winter coat that created a classy look, as opposed to a regular winter jacket. I still have my first coat, although it doesn’t fit me anymore, because there was something special about going shopping with my grandmother to pick out the perfect coat. My toddler may never experience special shopping moments like this because for one, I don’t like department store shopping. I do most of my shopping online, and while I do try to let my toddler be part of clothes shopping, she’s still too young to call all the shots on her apparel choices.
With so many special occasions, I knew it was time for my tot to have her own special occasion jacket. I wanted something that was versatile enough that she could also wear to school, while also being high quality to last as a hand me down to her sister. Of course, it had to be warm enough to keep her cozy for every holiday and occasion that took place in the winter.
I’ve heard the name Rothschild, but I wasn’t very familiar with their products. After looking over their site I found many styles of children’s coats and jackets that seemed to fit into what I was looking for. I had a hard time choosing the perfect style because they were all so cute, and I narrowed it down to a few pink coats I thought would be perfect for my little girl. I let my husband make the final decision in choosing a coat for my tot, and out of my favorites, he chose the Hooded Babydoll Peacoat in Pink.
When her jacket showed up, she was ecstatic to see that it was pink. I ordered a size bigger than what she normally wears so that if she wore a sweater, the coat would still fit perfectly. I love that the jacket has a detachable hood, which makes it easier for her to get comfortable when she is in her car seat. With her regular jacket, which has an attached hood, she often complains that the hood bothers her when she is strapped in, so this was a great feature for us. I love the double breasted button closure because I felt that this gave the coat a more dressy appeal.

I really like the detachable hood option as well. I know I did that A LOT for my kids!
That is a super cute coat. I will have to check them out.
