I’ve always been obsessed with my oral care routine. Your mouth is a communication tool and it shouldn’t be tainted with discolored or dirty teeth. A clean mouth and clean teeth are important when making first impressions on people! When Colgate Total was first introduced to the market, I remember thinking my mouth had never felt cleaner. I was still living with my parents, and I told my dad that it was THE ONLY toothpaste I was able to use. Other toothpastes did not leave my mouth feeling clean for as long as Colgate Total, so this was one thing I wasn’t willing to budge on.
Colgate has come out with their Total Advanced system which includes the toothpaste and a mouthrinse to keep your mouth healthy by killing germs. This goes beyond keeping your breath fresh, although that is definitely something positive! It also helps kill the bad germs that lead to cavities, gum disease and gingivitis.
So for someone who thinks that oral health is very important, I have one confession – I HATE flossing. I try to do it when I remember, but let’s face it, flossing is not #1 on my to-do list and only happens when I have a piece of apple stuck in my teeth. My daughter, on the other hand, just learned how to floss (shockingly, I taught her) and does it twice a day. Just because I don’t do it for myself does not mean that I don’t think it has it’s benefits. I just don’t like doing it… So, maybe I’m not the poster child for perfect oral health. I have joined Colgate to go on a two week regimen to achieve a Happy & Healthier mouth. I will be sharing my before and after pictures on Instagram, so make sure you follow me there! The Colgate regimen can offer tooth protection and protect against cavities.

We usually buy Crest for oral health, but recently I was sent some Colgate to try, and I was pretty impressed with it. I’m horrible at flossing and rinsing, I start up with great intentions and then usually stop doing it after a while and just brush. I know I need to change that because I’m a drill sergeant with my daughter about her teeth!

Those are actually good prices, we spend so much on dental stuff that it can be frustrating (but it’s important, so we do it)

We’re almost out of mouthwash. I’m going to try some Colgate Total for our next bottle.

I have to admit that I’m not the best at flossing. I think I find it too time consuming and so I neglect it. Yet, I’m adamant that my son does… I should lead by example. :/
Liz @ A Nut in a Nutshell says
I’m fine with flossing and brushing, but I hate rinsing because it tends to make me dry-mouthed during the night. But Colgate is my buddy and has been for longer than I can remember.
