Oral health is a big deal around here. While my husband suffers from severe dental issues and I have virtually none, my girls (especially my oldest) understand the extremes of caring vs not caring for your teeth. Getting my girls to brush their teeth is by no means like pulling teeth (pun intended) but brushing properly is a different story. My youngest insists on brushing her own teeth, often just sucking off the toothpaste and chewing on her toothbrush. My oldest, although she brushes much better, she doesn’t always brush thoroughly. That is, until she understood HOW to.
I never put a time frame on brushing teeth. As long as all the teeth were brushed front and back I was satisfied. My oldest brought up good point when she first tried her new Firefly toothbrush- “why is it taking so long to stop lighting up?” I explained to her that dentists recommend brushing for a minute to make sure you clean each and every tooth properly. She never realized just how long that way, and quite honestly, I don’t think most people do. Since receiving her Hello Kitty Firefly toothbrush, I’ve caught her sitting on the step stool, floor, and toilet, happily brushing away as her toothbrush told her when she was done.

Along with an awesome feature on Firefly toothbrushes that let you know just how long you should be brushing, Firefly also has a fun way to protect teeth with cavity-preventing fluoride rinse. The cute bottle features Hello Kitty (other characters available) and includes a small cup tucked away in a compartment where kids can easily pump the appropriate amount of mouthwash. My oldest daughter feels like a big girl using her Firefly products because she can independently clean and protect her teeth. My youngest still needs helps, but we are getting there!
You can find out more by visiting Firefly and checking out their entire product and character line.
There is also the Firefly #BrushBattle sweepstakes going on right now, hosted on where you can win a trip for 4 to an awesome theme park in California!
These brushes are really cute. My daughter would love them.
Super cute! The Hello Kitty is definitely an incentive to brush their teeth.
