My skin has been sensitive from the time I was a kid, and it doesn’t seem to have gotten any better. I am very careful about the cosmetics, moisturizers, and cleansers I use on my face because I can break out very easily from using the wrong products. I’m still experimenting with cosmetics because my skin can vary from oily to dry, and some cosmetics that work great for my summer skin, don’t fair well for winter skin.
I’ve heard of Mia Mariu cosmetics, but didn’t know anyone that has tried them. My mom had given me a mineral cosmetics set years ago which did not work well for my skin, and apparently didn’t work well for hers either. I haven’t tried mineral makeup since then thinking they were all the same.
Mineral makeup has come along way, and when presented with the opportunity to give mineral-wear another shot, I decided to go along with it. I chose their Perfecting Finish Mineral Foundation, mineral bronzer, and eyeshadow colors that I felt I would get the most use out of (light lavender and natural beige.) I prepped my skin the way I usually do- I moisturized and started with a light coating of foundation. The Mineral Foundation from Mia Mariu is a little thicker than what I normally use, so a little goes a long way. I love that it was easy to pick out a color online. I have light beige skin with olive tones, but I am still very fair. Instead of picking out a color based on a swatch, I was able to choose a model that had skin which most resembled mine. This was the easiest time I had choosing makeup that I didn’t go to the store to pick out.
The bronzer was a great color in South Beach, but just as the foundation, I felt that it had to be applied very lightly. I like my makeup to look natural and compliment my skin, rather than change my entire look. Mia Mariu cosmetics helped me achieve this look. The Luna De Miel eyeshadow was a fantastic combination for everyday use, and didn’t overpower my natural skin tones.
I am very happy with the Mia Mariu products I tried and would be open to using them as part of my daily cosmetic routine. Have you heard of Mia Mariu products? I want to try the foundation. By the way, if you feel that a foundation is too thick, just mix it with a little moisturizer in the palm of you hand and apply. I like to use a moisturizer with sunscreen.
