Many of my mom friends always complained that they never get enough time with their friends. After becoming a mom, I finally understood and after my second child I made it a point to get out more. Don’t get me wrong, motherhood is wonderful and something I looked forward to since I was a kid. I do, however, see how easy it is to get lost in the humdrum of routine, diapers, and goldfish crackers. It doesn’t have to be like this! Taking time out for myself is difficult and taking time out with some friends sans children is a mission, but a necessity! My husband is amazing and gives me time, whether it is once a week or once a month to get together with my friends.

Finding things to do isn’t too hard, there is always something new to check out in NYC, but the days I get to stay indoors with some friends and catch up over wine and cheese is what I look forward to the most. This last summer I brought Brancott Estate wine to a pool party, but this time around I introduced Flight Song to two of my friends over a Friday movie night. The first thing we noticed about Brancott Estate Flight Song Sauvignon Blanc was the 20% fewer calories advertised on the bottles. The next thing we noticed was the taste- light and fruity with crisp citrus hints. Paired with sweet grapes and tangy cheese, flight song was the perfect beverage for the evening.
When it comes to wine, I admit, I’m picky. My wine HAS to be chilled, light, and tasty. The Flight Song variations in Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio are just that. They appeal to my tastebuds and offer the fine wine tasting experience my friends and I have grown to love about our wine dates. My friends who tasted the wine stated that the Pinot Grigio was a perfect summer wine for outdoor BBQs, and I couldn’t agree more!
