My little girls are growing up too quickly and while they both love being independent, sometimes they need some help. When it comes time for meals, they gather around the table and kneel on their seats to reach, but even my 19 month old won’t entertain a high chair at this point. Getting them to sit safely at the table is near impossible, but when they laid their eyes on the Bumbo booster seat I received for review, they actually fought over it. It must have been the bright red color that got them, or the fact that it didn’t look like a high chair (which it isn’t) but rather a little helper to get them to reach the table better. My oldest has determined that it is her big girl seat and not for babies. My youngest can’t say much yet, but when she says MINE and pulls at the seat, I think it’s safe to say she thinks it belongs to her.
What I love about the seat is that it has a harness to safely attach to a regular chair, as well as a safety strap to keep your child in place at the table. It’s lightweight, so carrying it to grandma’s house is no problem. It wipes down easy after using and doesn’t have any crevices, so you don’t have to worry about food getting stuck on it.
The Bumbo seat is a great way to transition from high chair to booster, and for independent children who want to do it on their own, this is the perfect solution.
