I use to make fun of my grandmother all the time when she would say, “leave me alone when I’m watching my shows” and would glue herself to the TV from 1-4pm during the weekdays. She had to watch her soaps everyday and find out who was plotting against who and which couple would enter a new hot and steamy love affair. Now, folks, making fun of grandma is NOT nice.. because you might spawn a little being that resembles her in so many ways, including her television viewing habits. My almost 4 year old cannot be disturbed while watching her shows and often asks us to lower our voices if we are trying to have a conversation during one of her Disney Jr. favorites. Unbelievable, isn’t it?
The good thing is, Netflix is around to save the day when we are out and about and need my tot to behave. Whether it is a trip to a restaurant or a weekend away at the beach house, Netflix is ALWAYS there. I love that they feature a “Netflix for Kids” section where all child-appropriate shows can be viewed. These shows are geared toward children 2-12 years of age. The best part about it is that it is so easy to get around, my daughter can do it all on her own! We generally access Netflix through the Nintendo Wii at home, but when we are out we have our iPhones or iPad to keep the kids entertained with the handy Netflix app. You can stream Netflix shows on various devices and it is so easy to stay connected!
Sure, my generation didn’t have the luxury of having our favorite shows follow us around, but the benefits of having your child happy while you are out to dinner are great. With kid-favorites such as Disney movies, and Cartoon Network shows, there is something for everyone on Netflix! They even have Sesame Street!
Once the kids go to bed, you can enjoy your favorite shows as well. Netflix has so much to offer for a low monthly price. To find out more, visit Netflix!
What are you watching on TV with your family? Netflix has family favorites from Disney, Disney Jr., Hasbro, Cartoon Network and Dreamworks that are available to stream anytime, anywhere.
And streaming is easier than you think! Download the free app on your iPad, click on the Netflix app on any gaming device, go to the website on your computer – and you’re in business. Check it out here!
I am just bummed that I couldn’t find Yo Gabba Gabba on there for my daughter today. That missing would be a deal breaker for us.

I love the options they have. If kids are going to watch anything, it might as well be shows you approve of and that they enjoy!

One of the things my kids and i miss MOST about the States is Netflix! We can’t get it here.
I have Netflix on our Apple TV, iphones and ipad. Most of the time if I hand my boys my phone when we are out, they will watch Netflix. They have been watching a lot of Transformers and Power Rangers. I really love Netflix. It’s affordable and easy to use with lots of choices.
We adore Netflix. I’m not sure the kids would know what to do without it.
